LEA Pitches in With Montecito Debris Flow Recovery Efforts

We love our hometown of Santa Barbara, but our way of life was totally disrupted by the one-two punch of the Thomas Fire and the devastating debris flows in Montecito earlier this year. Since then, the spirit of community and the resolve to rebuild has been so strong. When homeowners in Montecito expressed concern about pollutants in the mud left behind in their yards, LEA jumped at the chance to help. We offered our services, pro bono, to collect samples, arrange for laboratory analyses of a range of possible contaminants, and interpret the results. Happily, we did not find anything problematic and we were pleased that we could help with the recovery effort in this small way.
